The High Peak Canal Trip with Lunch

Our 2nd visit this year to Whaley Bridge where we board the 'Judith Mary' for a relaxing 2 hour cruise whilst enjoying a 2 course lunch and enjoying the scenery and tranquillity of the High Peak canal. Our lunch will be a beef hot pot with red cabbage and French bread followed by apple pie and cream. There is a licensed bar and drinks including tea and coffee can be purchased throughout the trip.​

Battle of Britain Air Show at Duxford

Step back into Summer 1940 for an event to remember with a live action flying display. Duxford Museum will honor the story of the people who lived and fought during WW11 and the iconic machines that took to the skies. In 2024 Duxford also commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Armham and Operation Market Garden.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Whitby

Travel by coach to Pickering to board the 12:00 North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The NYMR travels for 18 miles through the fabulous Yorkshire Moors scenery to Whitby. On route you pass 5 stations including Goathland which dates from 1865 and featured in the Heartbeat TV series and the first Harry Potter film. We have the afternoon in Whitby before returning home by coach.

Port Sunlight Village

Residential Port Sunlight is a peaceful Merseyside village founded by a Victorian - era entrepreneur to house his factory workers. It's Arts and Crafts cottages are surrounded by paths winding through fields and Woodland. Port Sunlight Museum details the village's history, and the neoclassical Lady Lever Art Gallery showcases 19th-century decorative arts. Tea rooms and cosy pubs cater to locals and day trippers.
On arrival we will have a guided tour on the coach around the village before exploring the village on foot and visiting the museum and art gallery.

Castle Coombe & Cotswolds Autumn Colours

We have a scenic autumn tour through the Cotswolds as we head for the Wiltshire village of Castle Coombe one of UK's prettiest villages. With no new houses built since 1600s, the village is a perfectly preserved slice of medieval history and architacture, and is regularly used as a film location.

Churchill's War Rooms & Battersea Power Station

We head to London and King Charles Street in Whitehall where have a visit to the underground nerve center where the British government directed the Second World War. Explore this underground bunker in the heart of London where Britain's leaders plotted the allied route to victory. Next you'll find out about Churchill's remarkable 90-year-life, leadership and legacy, from his lonely childhood to his military career, two periods as Prime Minister and beyond in the interactive Churchill Museum.
From here we follow the Thames to the former Battersea Power Station, This is one of London's most famous landmarks and the Grade 11 listed icon is now open to the public. It now houses over 100 shops, restaurants and cafes in a riverside location.
