After our visit here we travel the short distance to Rutland Water where we enjoy a 1 ½ hour cruise aboard the Rutland Belle with coffee included and a visit to Normanton Church.

Waterperry Gardens and Oxford

NEW: We head out along the M40 for a morning visit to Waterperry Gardens before continuing into Oxford for the afternoon.

Waterperry Gardens are a magical place where you are surrounded by beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers, classical borders, modern planting, secret corners and long vista. Made famous by Beatrix Havergal who established her School of Horticulture for Ladies here from 1932 to 1971, it’s now home to 20 acres of beautifully landscaped ornamental gardens.

Oxford is famous for its Inspector Morse connections and Universities, and has one of Britain’s most beautiful and historic city centres.

​NEW: A fun day at the races today, our price includes coach travel and entrance ticket to the Windsor Enclosure plus a glass of Prosecco on arrival.  We will park in Coach Park 10 where picnics are allowed so you are welcome to bring along a picnic to eat prior to heading off to the races, plus if you like, bring a blanket or small folding deckchair to sit on. Please label your picnic boxes and chairs as these will be stowed in the coach locker for the journey.

Castleton and High Peak Scenic Tour

Tuesday 23rd June

We begin with a morning visit to Buxton where we stop for 1 hour having travelled via the scenic A515 route. We then begin another very scenic route via Whaley Bridge, Glossop and The Snake Pass before passing the Ladybower Reservoir on route to Castleton.

Castleton is a beautiful village surrounded by high peaks and overlooked by the ruins of 11th C. Peveril Castle. There are several pubs and cafes as well as independent shops in the narrow lanes. The nearby caves are famous for their unique mineral formations, in particular Blue John, which is only found in this area.

Canal Cruise and Afternoon Tea

Camden Market and Canal Trip

Wednesday 24th June

We travel to Little Venice where we board our boat for a 45-minute cruise on the Regent Canal with live commentary as we cruise past Regents Park and London Zoo and enjoy London from a different perspective before arriving at Camden Market. Camden Market has over a thousand unique shops, stalls, bars and cafe for you to explore. After about 3 hours here we rejoin our boat for the return cruise to Little Venice.
